Molasses Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. milk
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. molasses
    2/3 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    7 c. flour
    2 envelopes dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Scald the milk and pour over the oats.
    Add the salt and shortening; blend in the molasses and sugar.
    Add the beaten eggs, remaining water and mix well.
    Stir in part of the flour, and the yeast and then the remaining flour.
    Mix well and let rise 1 1/2 hours.
    Shape into two loaves and bake 5 minutes at 400\u00b0; lower oven to 350\u00b0 and bake an additional 40 minutes.
