Squash Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. grated, peeled squash (any kind), drained
    1/2 c. lemon juice
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 small (3 oz.) box jello (any flavor)
Preparation
    Mix grated squash with lemon juice.
    Microwave for 30 minutes on High, turning it. Add jello and sugar (we like apricot or peach flavored jello the best).
    Microwave 8 minutes on Low.
    Put in jars and seal.
    This will look runny and will appear that it hasn't set up, but store a jar in refrigerator before opening; the cool makes it set up.
    Store in refrigerator after opening.
