Quick Vegetable Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. beef shank, cut into 1-inch pieces
    6 c. water
    2 c. canned whole tomatoes, smashed
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. Worcestershire
    1/4 tsp. chili powder
    2 bay leaves
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. diced potatoes
Preparation
    Brown meat removed from bone in hot oil or bacon grease.
    Add beans, water, tomatoes, onion and seasonings.
    Cover.
    Simmer 2 hours.
    Add vegetables; simmer until vegetables are soft.
    Remove bones and bay leaves before serving.
    Freezes well.
