Christmas Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice, chilled
    1 (32 oz.) bottle cranberry juice, chilled
    1 (28 oz.) ginger ale, chilled
Preparation
    Combine water, sugar and cinnamon in saucepan, bringing to a boil.
    Stir until sugar is dissolved. Chill.
    Then combine sugar and syrup with remaining liquids.
    Serve over ice.
    Makes about 3 3/4-quarts.
