Self-Saucing Apple Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 1/4 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add milk, egg, oil and vanilla, blending only until smooth.
    Layer an 8 1/2 x 12-inch baking pan with cut up apples.
    Sprinkle a little sugar, flour and cinnamon over them.
    Add the cake mixture.
    Combine brown sugar and hot water, pour over butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
