Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    3/4 c. chopped shallots
    3/4 c. gin
    9 c. canned diced tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    2 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 1/2 bay leaves, crushed
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. black pepper
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. cream
    2 c. half and half
Preparation
    Melt butter in soup kettle.
    Add shallots and saute until lightly browned. Add gin and reduce by 3/4. Add rest of ingredients except cream and half and half. Simmer 30 minutes. Add cream and half and half and heat through. Do not boil.
