School Days Johnnycake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Mix eggs with
    buttermilk
    and molasses in mixing bowl. Add all other
    ingredients;
    mix well.\tPour into 11 x 15-inch baking pan.
    Bake at
    425\u00b0
    for 20 minutes or until cake tests done.
    Cut into large squares.
    Yields 24 squares.
