Merry Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    4 large eggs
    1 c. dried fruit
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    lemon juice
    1 c. brown sugar
    nuts
    1 or 2 qt. sherry
Preparation
    Before you start, sample the sherry to check for quality. Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc.
    Check the sherry again, as it must be right.
    Pour 1 level cup into glass and drink fast as you can.
    Repeat.
    With an electric mixer, beat 1 cup butter in large fluffy bowl.
    Add 1 teaspoon thugar and meat again.
