Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Mix together 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs thoroughly.
    Blend flour, tartar, baking soda and salt and stir.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
    Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon.
    Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking pan. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    The cookies puff and then flatten.
