Texas Calico Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices bacon
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. ketchup
1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
1 (16 oz.) can lima or butter beans
1 tsp. salt
1/2 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. vinegar
1 (16 oz.) kidney beans
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp.
Remove to paper towel and drain.
Cook beef in small amount bacon fat.
Add onions and cook until tender. Combine beef, onions, ketchup, salt, brown sugar, mustard and vinegar in 3-quart casserole.
Drain cans of beans (save some liquid in case mixture is dry).
Mix thoroughly with beef mixture. Sprinkle with bacon which has been crumbled.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
