Sour Cream Squash With Two Cheeses - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. sugar
    7 Tbsp. butter (divided use)
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. grated New York sharp Cheddar
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. grated Romano (preferably an import)
    1/4 c. dry white wine
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cut squash into 1/4-inch slices.
    Bring 2 cups water to a boil.
    Add squash, salt and sugar; cover saucepan and cook over moderate heat for 20 minutes or until squash is tender.
