Cherry Nuggets - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 eggs, separated
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. finely chopped walnuts
maraschino cherry halves
Preparation

Combine butter and sugar.
Add corn syrup, egg yolks, vanilla and flour; mix well.
Chill.
Lightly beat egg whites.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Dip each in egg whites.
Coat with nuts. Press a cherry half, cut side down, into center of each.
Place cookies about 1 1/2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen cookies.
