Quick And Easy Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 c. flour
    1 c. plus 1/2 c. sugar, divided
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    4 c. peaches (canned, sliced and drained)
Preparation
    Melt butter in 9 x 3-inch pan.
    In mixing bowl, mix flour, 1 cup sugar, milk and baking powder.
    Pour mixture into prepared pan.
    Pour peaches over mixture.
    Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar over all.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
    Best if served warm with vanilla ice cream.
