Mammy'S Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 (16 oz.) box small elbow macaroni, cooked according to directions, set aside to drain
    1 1/4 sticks butter (divide 3/4 and 1/2 stick)
    1/2 pkg. saltine crackers
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced
    salt and pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Use 2 to 3 quart casserole dish.
    Layer with thin layer of macaroni, cheese, butter, salt and pepper.
    Continue to layer until full (about 3 layers).
    Mix together milk and eggs.
    Pour over macaroni mixture, about 1/4-inch from top.
    Melt butter and crumble in crackers mix.
    Spread over top and cook in 425\u00b0 oven approximately 1/2 hour or until milk is no longer runny and crackers browned.
