5 Tbsp. butter
2 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. corn syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
8 (1-inch) slices large French bread
3 large eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In a large skillet melt butter.
Add apple slices and cook stirring occasionally.
Add brown sugar, syrup and cinnamon. Cook, stirring
until sugar dissolves.
Pour apple mixture in a 9 x 13-inch dish.
Arrange and fit bread slices over apples. Beat eggs, milk and vanilla.
Pour over bread.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake uncovered at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool in pan 5 minutes. Invert on serving plate.
