Copper Pennies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. carrots
    1 can condensed tomato soup
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cook carrots (sliced 1/4-inch thick) until tender.
    Cool before putting into sauce.
    Bring remaining ingredients to a boil and pour over carrots.
    Chopped onions and green peppers may be added if desired.
