Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil or 1 1/2 sticks butter
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
    2 c. plain flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. blackberry jam
Preparation
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
