Cornbread - cooking recipe

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. milk
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease a jelly roll pan.
Blend all ingredients together about 20 seconds; then beat vigorously for 1 minute.
Pour into a pan.
Bake until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes.
