Rice-Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. bulk sausage
    1 c. finely chopped green pepper
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 c. slivered almonds
    2 envelopes chicken noodle soup mix
    4 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. uncooked rice (regular)
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown sausage in large skillet.
    Pour off excess fat.
    Add green pepper, onion and celery and saute.
    Combine soup mix in boiling water in large saucepan.
    Stir in uncooked rice.
    Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.
    Add sausage mixture and salt.
    Mix most of almonds with saving a few to pat on top.
    Pour into greased baking dish, 12 x 8 x 2-inch.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
