Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    First separate egg yolks from egg whites.
    Now, beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
    Cream margarine and Crisco.
    Add sugar and vanilla; beat until mixture is smooth.
    Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in coconut and chopped pecans. Lastly, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
