Sweet And Sour Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 qt. green beans, drained
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp and set aside.
    Add sugar and vinegar to bacon drippings.
    Separate the onion into rings and place in the skillet; add green beans.
    Cover and simmer 25 minutes.
    When ready to serve, crumble the bacon and sprinkle over the beans. Add almonds.
