Mulled Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. whole cloves
    2 qt. cider
    1/4 Tbsp. salt
    dash of nutmeg
    3 inches stick cinnamon
Preparation
    Slowly bring cider to a boil.
    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
    Strain to remove spices.
    Pour cider over clove studded orange slices.
