Braised Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean chuck
    1 medium onion
    1 clove garlic
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 can mushrooms or 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    enough water to make 1 c. of mushroom juice
    2 cans or 8 oz. tomato sauce
    1/2 c. red wine
    1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. rosemary
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cube meat and dredge in flour.
    Mince onions and garlic. Saute meat, onion and garlic in the oil until brown.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer gently for 2 hours, until tender, stirring frequently.
    If necessary, add more water or wine when sauce cooks down.
