Sally'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. margarine
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 c. flour
    1 c. seedless blackberry jam
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Add the jam and spices, stirring well.
    Then add the milk, soda and flour.
    Mix thoroughly and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven in three layers.
    When cool, ice with Caramel Icing.
