Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. oats
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 __ baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cook oats in boiling water; let set until cool.
    Cream shortening, white sugar and brown sugar.
    Add eggs and beat, then add oat mixture with flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and chopped nuts (optional).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 or until done.
