Fricassee Rabbit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) rabbit, cut into serving pieces
    1 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    garlic powder
    fat for frying (shortening, bacon grease or peanut oil)
    1 large finely chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Let rabbit pieces stand in vinegar brine for 3 hours.
    Drain, dry and sprinkle m.s.g. evenly on all pieces.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Mix seasonings and sprinkle on meat. Brown in fat or oil.
    Put onion in casserole.
    Arrange rabbit on top.
    Combine vinegar and water and pour over rabbit pieces. Cover and bake at 275\u00b0 for 2 hours or until tender.
