Jollof Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    stew beef
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    1 medium chopped onion
    1 (24 oz.) can tomato sauce
    4 c. rice
Preparation
    Boil stew beef for 15 to 20 minutes until tender (2 cups of water to a pound of beef).
    Heat cooking oil for about 2 minutes. Place boiled meat into heated oil; fry for 1 minute.
    Add onion; fry until onion becomes brown.
    Add tomato sauce; cook for another 5 minutes.
    Add 4 cups of water to the \"gravy\" now prepared.
    Boil everything for about 10 minutes.
    Add rice to gravy; cook for 20 to 25 minutes on low until Jollof Rice is tender.
    Ready to serve.
