Steak And Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced onions
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 lb. round steak, cubed
    1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt.
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    2 c. raw potatoes, diced
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    pastry for 1 crust
Preparation
    Cook onions in shortening, remove onions.
    Roll meat in flour and seasoning mix.
    Brown meat in hot shortening.
    Add boiling water, cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Add potatoes and cook 10 minutes. Pour into greased casserole (1 1/2 quart), lay onions on top. Cover with pastry crust rolled 1/4-inch thick.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
