Gourmet Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mild or hot sausage
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. uncooked long grain rice
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (sharp)
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup, add 1 can water
    1 small jar pimientos, chopped and drained
Preparation
    Brown crumbled sausage in large skillet; drain.
    Add onion, green pepper and celery.
    Continue cooking until vegetables are transparent.
    Add uncooked rice, soup, cheese and pimientos.
    Mix all well.
    Pour in 3-quart casserole.
    Cover and bake in preheated 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or more until rice is tender.
