Ingredients

2 c. potatoes, grated
1/2 c. onion, finely chopped or grated
1/8 tsp. white pepper
1 egg
Preparation

Beat egg. Add pepper and salt. Add grated potato and onion. Use flour to thicken the mixture as desired.
Adding a grated apple also adds flavor.
Fry the cakes in hot fat, browning slowly on each side.
