Pickled Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can peach halves
    1 c. peach syrup, drained off peaches
    whole cloves
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Stud each peach with 3 or 4 cloves.
    Pack into a quart jar. Simmer remaining ingredients for 3 or 4 minutes.
    Pour over peaches.
    Slip the cinnamon stick in, too.
    Cool and refrigerate.
