7-Up Miniature Fruitcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 c. 7-Up
1 tsp. soda
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped candied fruit of your choice
1/2 c. chopped nuts of your choice

Preparation

Combine dates and 7-Up in a large pan; heat to boiling.
Cool a little.
Add soda, sugar, butter, egg, flour and vanilla.
Beat well.
Stir in fruits and nuts.
