Fresh Peaches And Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sliced peaches
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. pancake mix
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. melted butter
vanilla ice cream
Preparation

Combine peaches, water, sugar and lemon juice in 3-quart pan. Bring to a boil.
Boil 2 to 3 minutes, then combine pancake mix, brown sugar, nutmeg, milk and butter. Stir together.
Remove peach mixture from heat. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dumpling batter onto hot peach mixture.
Cover pan and return to heat for 15 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
