Ingredients

1 (8 to 9-inch) baked pie shell
1 stick butter (not margarine)
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 sq. bittersweet chocolate, melted
2 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
toasted almonds, chopped
whipping cream, whipped
Preparation

Beat butter until fluffy.
Add sugar and continue to beat. Add chocolate and vanilla.
Add eggs, one at a time.
It is important to beat well after each addition.
Fold in pecans, if desired.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Chill.
