Sausage And Cheese Grit Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. quick grits
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. butter
    4 eggs, lightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    1 lb. sausage, browned and drained
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 3-quart baking dish.
    Bring water and salt to boil.
    Slowly add grits.
    Cover; cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in 1 cup cheese and butter until melted.
    Add eggs, milk and sausage; pour into dish.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese on top.
    Bake until golden brown.
    Cool 10 minutes before serving.
