Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3 large onions, diced
    1 large green pepper, chopped (optional)
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice (not Minute)
    2 tsp. salt
    1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In large skillet, brown meat and cook onions and pepper until tender.
    Drain off fat.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Heat through.
    Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Cover and bake 1 hour.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
