Quick Cherry Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. almond extract
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 (21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
    Beat until light and fluffy. Add almond flavoring; add flour and baking powder.
    Grease a 13 x 9-inch cake pan.
    Spread dough into pan.
    Spoon pie filling onto top (16 spots; 4 x 4 evenly).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes. Makes 16 servings.
