Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Judges 5:25 (butter)
    3/4 c. Jeremiah 6:20 (molasses)
    2 c. 1 Kings 4:22 (flour)
    1/2 tsp. Amos 4:5 (soda)
    3 Jeremiah 17:11 (eggs), beaten
    1/2 c. Judges 4:19 (buttermilk)
    1 c. 1 Samuel 30:12 (raisins)
    1 c. Nahum 3:12 (dried figs), chopped
    dash of Leviticus 2:13 (salt)
    1/2 tsp. Proverbs 7:17 (cinnamon)
    1/4 tsp. 2 Chronicles 9:19 (cloves)
    1/4 tsp. 2 Chronicles 9:19 (ginger)
    1/3 c. 1 Samuel 14:25 (honey)
    1/2 c. Numbers 17:8 (almonds), chopped
    1/2 c. Proverbs 31:6 (wine or orange juice)
Preparation
    In a large bowl, cream butter until light.
    Blend in molasses. Stir together flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and honey. Mix eggs and buttermilk.
    Add liquid mixture and dry mixture alternately to creamed mixture.
    Mix well.
    Stir in raisins, figs and almonds.
    Turn mixture into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Loosely cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes more.
    Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool on rack.
    Brush all sides with wine or orange juice.
    Warp in foil and store 1 to 2 days in refrigerator.
