Fried-Up Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. okra
1/4 c. cornmeal
1 c. Wesson oil
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. flour
pepper
Preparation

Rinse the okra.
Remove the caps.
Cut into 1/4-inch pieces. Mix cornmeal, flour and salt.
Toss the okra with mixture.
Spread out for a few minutes to dry.
Toss again.
Fill skillet halfway with oil.
Heat to sizzling.
Add okra.
Leave enough room to turn.
Fry until lightly browned, turning only to prevent burning. Add salt and pepper while still hot.
