Salabat(Ginger Tea) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1-inch slice (about 1 1/2-inches thick) fresh ginger root, peeled and crushed
    4 c. water
    4 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
Preparation
    Bring all ingredients to a boil.
    Lower heat and simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
    (The longer it cooks, the stronger the ginger flavor.) Remove ginger slice before serving.
    Serve hot.
