Crisco Maple Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. powdered sugar, sift if lumpy
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. maple blend syrup
1/4 c. Crisco
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Preparation

Mix powdered sugar and salt.
Blend in syrup.
Add shortening, vanilla and milk.
Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add more sugar to thicken or milk to thin frosting.
Frost two 8 or 9 inch layers or 13 x 9 inch cake.
Excellent on spice cake.
