Mrs. Margaret'S 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. cake flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake in four greased and floured 9-inch cake pans or one greased and floured tube pan at 350\u00b0.
    Pans will take about 25 to 30 minutes, tube pan will take longer.
    Frost with favorite frosting or serve with fruit and Cool Whip.
