Sand Tarts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine (2 sticks)
2 c. flour
powdered sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. finely chopped nuts
3 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream margarine.
Sift together flour, 1/4 cup powdered sugar and baking powder.
Gradually add to margarine, mixing well.
Stir in nuts and vanilla.
Form crescents with fingers and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes until done, but not brown.
Roll in additional sifted powdered sugar while cookies are still warm.
Handle with care as they are quite flaky at this point.
Allow to cool before serving.
Yield: 4 to 5 dozen.
