Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter, melted
1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand)
1 c. light Karo syrup
2 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter.
Add remaining ingredients except vanilla.
Cook to 238\u00b0 (candy thermometer), stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Pour into lightly buttered 7 x 11-inch pan. Let stand overnight, preferably in a cool place.
Cut in small pieces and wrap.
