Chicken Hekka - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. boneless chicken
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (8 oz.) can bamboo shoots, undrained and sliced
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, undrained
    1 carrot, sliced and cut in strips
    1 bunch watercress, washed and sliced
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shoyu
    1 bunch green onions, sliced
Preparation
    In skillet, brown chicken with garlic.
    Add salt and pepper. Add bamboo shoots and mushrooms, including liquid.
    Add carrots and simmer for 3 minutes.
    Add sugar and shoyu and simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
    Add watercress and green onions until desired tenderness or crispness of watercress.
    Season to taste. Yield: 4 to 6 large portions.
