Baked Devil'S Float - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cook 1/2 cup sugar in water for 5 minutes. Pour into a square pan. Top with marshmallows. Cream shortening and 1/2 cup sugar. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add nuts. Drop mixture over marshmallows. Mix in pan with spoon. Cover. Bake at 350\u00b0 about 45 minutes.
