English Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients

sponge cake or ladyfingers
3 Tbsp. sherry or 2 Tbsp. brandy
1 box Jell-O (any color)
1 box vanilla pudding mix
1 can fruit cocktail
Dream Whip
maraschino cherries
finely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Preparation

Cover bottom of glass bowl with cake.
Sprinkle cake with sherry and set overnight.
Next morning, pour Jell-O, prepared with 3/4 require liquid, over cake.
Let set.
Cover with drained fruit cocktail.
Cover with pudding, prepared with 3/4 required liquid. Let set.
Cover with Dream Whip.
Decorate with cherries and nuts.
