Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2/3 tsp. soda
1/2 c. warm water
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
salt
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
3 large apples, chopped
1 c. nuts, chopped

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs.
Dissolve soda in warm water and add flour, spices, cocoa, vanilla and a little salt. Fold in apples and chopped nuts.
Bake in tube pan for 70 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
