Low-Fat Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. All-Bran or 100% Bran cereal
    1 1/4 c. 2% milk
    1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. applesauce
    3/4 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Mix flour, baking powder, soda and cinnamon in a large bowl.
    Mix cereal, milk and sugar in another bowl.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Stir in egg, applesauce and raisins. Add flour mixture.
    Stir, just until moistened.
    (Batter will be lumpy.)
