Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    2/3 stick oleo
    1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    Pinch of salt
Preparation
    Brown 1/2 cup sugar in an iron skillet. Boil 1 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup milk. Have both of these going at the same time. When sugar is brown, pour boiling mixture into the browned sugar and remove from stove. Add 2/3 stick oleo, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and salt. Beat until thick enough to spread.
